Purple Martin 8 Rack System without Gourds
Form a martin colony in your own backyard or add to your existing one with the Purple Martin SuperGourd Rack System without Gourds. The rack features a 2-inch-square, high-tensile strength aluminum two-piece pole that is now 14 feet tall above ground when installed. The gourd hub and arms accommodate 8 gourds, and raise and lower with a 2-pulley rope & pulley lanyard system(included). Pre-installed nylon glide buttons in the hub assure squeak-free operation. The aluminum gourd arms attach to the hub using stainless steel hardware.
The gourd rack comes with a 42 ground stake; a two-piece high-tensile strength square aluminum pole; two 36 top perches; a plastic pole cap; a rope winder with attached stainless steel hardware; polyester rope with attached eyebolts and pulleys; a hub; gourd-hanging arms; and all the hardware necessary for installing the rack (3 bags of concrete mix not included).
Square poles are superior in strength to customary round martin poles. A square pole also makes it easy to align gourds correctly when raising and lowering the system.
This rack will work with any vertical-hanging gourd, natural or plastic. When hanging SuperGourds (or natural gourds) on this rack you will need eight 14-inch-long pieces of #10, or #12 plastic-coated, solid copper wire (not included).
