Hang your Gourds on this Deluxe Gourd Rack 6. Note that this system is upgradeable in the future to a 12 or 18 gourd rack system.  This gourd rack system is absolutely top-of-the-line in construction, materials, and innovative design.  It features a four-part pulley system for easy raising and lowering; six 3/8 high-strength aluminum arms with 90-degree-bend gourd mounts; a polyester rope; an aluminum rope cleat; and a 2-inch-square aluminum pole assembly with a plastic pole cap.  Square poles are superior in strength to round martin poles.  Gourds slip on and off the arms quickly and easily, and anchor with stainless steel spring clips.  The gourd arms slip easily in and out of the all-aluminum, pre-assembled hub, which has nylon glide tabs for squeak-free operation.  Arms will hold up to 6 gourds (gourds sold seperately). 

 

Height of installed system is 14 feet about the ground.  Includes two 42-inch top perches, a 57-inch steel ground stake, and all the hardware necessary for assembly.  If gourds are ordered separately from the gourd rack pole, they must have their hanging holes enlarged to 3/8 by the customer.  (Gourds ordered as part of a rack system have their hanging holes pre-enlarged).

The product, on the whole, seems to be made of quality materials, but the ground stake should be longer, the short piece used as the splice section should also be longer, and the eye hook design needs to be revisited. The bird house support rack tends to interfere with the rope when being pulled or let out. Otherwise, the system seems to be quite satisfactory.
