Mount this home high on the matching S&K Telescoping Aluminum Pole or use the S&K Pole Adapter to mount it on an existing 1.25" diameter round pole (not included). 

S&K Manufacturing, Inc Purple Martin Houses are constructed of 100% UV Protected Injected Molded Polypropylene Co-polymer Plastic.

Great bird house the martins live it

I have a large colony of martins on my farm. 6 of my houses are this model. My birds love them. Once they are assembled they are very sturdy and last a long time, i chagce mine at 10 years but they could have gone longer....

Poor Quality

Returned as soon as I opened the box. No reason to assemble flimsy plastic. Customer service admitted would not recommend.
