This single chamber bat house measures 1" deep and will house approximately 20 bats. Bats are known to eat thousands of mosquitos in a 24 hour period so they're a great way to naturally cut down on disease spreading insects. Solid wood construction keeps the temperature in the home regulated, and a hanger on the back should be used to place the house on a wall or tree at least 20 feet in the air. Just to let you know. My friend I gave it to. Love the bat house. She was so excited about it. I was very happy with the product. She just move to a new house.
